Dr. Dhillon is a very passionate and dedicated veterinarian. His love for animals began at a young age on his family's farm, which eventually led him into this noble profession. In 1991, he received his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry. In 1994, he completed his Master's in Veterinary Immunology at Punjab Agricultural University in India. Following his immigration to Canada, Dr. Dhillon passed the national board exams and enrolled at Purdue University (USA) for a one-year clinical rotation where he developed a special interest in diagnostic medicine and particularly ultrasound and endoscopy. Following his return to Canada, Dr. Dhillon worked with the federal government for one year, as well as with various practices throughout Greater Vancouver. In April 1999, it was time to follow his dream of opening a hospital to practice his personal philosophy of health through science and compassion. Dr. Dhillon loves to spend time golfing and snowboarding with his family and taking his friendly lab, Stamp, for walks.

As a result of Dr. Dhillon's hard work and dedication, Oak Animal Hospital has consecutively been awarded the Consumer's Choice Award for the last 4 years. In order to continuously pursue his commitment to patient care, Dr. Dhillon took Oak Animal Hospital through the process of becoming the first AAHA certified small animal hospital in Vancouver.

Dr. Dhillon stays committed to this noble profession and is proud to be a veterinarian. His dedication to the veterinary profession shows by the fact that he is in the process of getting his ABVP certification. Dr. Dhillon attends all major conferences such as ACVIM, AAHA, and CVMA's national and international meetings. He is always thinking of innovative ways to deliver veterinary medicine to patients in addition to encouraging his associates and colleagues to provide quality care in hopes to constantly uplift the veterinary profession.

Dr. Dhillon developed a high interest in diagnostic medicine while at Purdue University. He has a special interest in diagnostic cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided biopsies in both the chest and abdomen, and other diagnostics such as endoscopy and laparoscopy.

Working part time as an imaging consultant with a New Jersey Mobile Service (sound technology), Dr. Dhillon performed on average 15-20 ultrasounds a day in addition to managing the Oak Animal Hospital. Soon after spending time in New Jersey, it wasn't long until Dr. Dhillon started his own mobile consulting service where he helps approximately 80 clinics with advanced diagnostic support for their patients in their time of need.

Currently, Dr. Dhillon's main focus is his mobile ultrasound service in which he strives to help other veterinarians by providing non-invasive advanced diagnostics in their facilities. With this service, the focus is on the patient's comfort and avoiding unnecessary time-consuming travel and other difficulties for their owners. Dr. Dhillon also provides minimally invasive diagnostics and alternative treatments with the use of the top-of-the-line Storz video endoscope for rhinoscopy, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, and laparoscopy of small animal patients. By providing this mobile service, Dr. Dhillon is able to discuss all the laboratory results, x-ray and other findings with the attending veterinarian and offer his clinical judgment for better management of the patient.
